Yasmin Santana is a Brazilian actress and multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Co-Owner and Founder of MôTif Productions. She is currently working as a company artist at 3-Legged Dog Art and Technology Center in New York. Yasmin graduated with a BA in Performing Arts from CEFART (Minas Gerais, Brazil) and has extensive experience in theater and film. In 2016, she was part of the critics’ choice “Doomocracy” by Pedro Reyes, Directed byMeghan Finn, which gave her a nomination to the International Brazilian Press Award 2017. She will be part of "Inside the Wild Heart", by Group.BR, An immersive theatrical experience based on the works of Clarice Lispector. Yasmin is also developing her new multidisciplinary project “PueblA”, produced by MôTifalongside Female Artists from Minas Gerais, Brazil. Their first short film was screened in NY in October, 2017.
Since 2012 she has worked alongside the renowned Brazilian director Rita Clemente, acting in her productions. One of them, the award-winning show “O que você foi quando era crianaça?", written by Lourenço Mutarelli, who served in season in September 2014 at CCBB - Belo Horizonte and won the Copasa/Simparc Award in the categories of best script, best director and best show of the year.
